Some have said that the conclusion of the Blood Moon Tetrad on September 28th, 2015 was a bust and just another example of people trying to pin a date on the return of Christ and or the rapture of the Church.
Was that the case or was the tetrad indeed a sign from God that was meant to show God’s hand is active in our time and the events happening around the world? And did its conclusion herald in one of the major end time prophecies recorded in the Bible?
First, why should we care at all about astronomical occurrences? Isn’t looking at the heavens for signs from God actually the occultic practice of astrology? No. Astrology is the “interpretation” of an assumed influence the stars (and planets) exert on human destiny. This is a false belief. The royal astrologers of the Babylonian court were put to shame by God’s prophet Daniel (Daniel 1:20) and were powerless to interpret the king’s dream (Daniel 2:27). God specifies astrologers as among those who will be burned as stubble in God’s judgment (Isaiah 47:13-14). Astrology as a form of divination is expressly forbidden in Scripture (Deuteronomy 18:10-14). God forbade the children of Israel to worship or serve the “host of heaven” (Deuteronomy 4:19). Several times in their history, however, Israel fell into that very sin (2 Kings 17:16 is one example). Their worship of the stars brought God’s judgment each time.1
God’s Heavenly Design
Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; Genesis 1:14 NKJV
God did not design the heavens to be worshiped. He created the heavens to be for signs and seasons and to mark time. The Bible teaches that God arranged the stars into recognizable groups that we call constellations. The Bible mentions three of these: Orion, the Bear (Ursa Major), and “the crooked serpent” (most likely Draco) in Job 9:9; 26:13; 38:31-32; and Amos 5:8. The same passages also reference the star group Pleiades (the Seven Stars). God is the One Who “fastens the bands” of these constellations; He is the One who brings them forth, “each in its season.” In Job 38:32, God also points to the “Mazzaroth,” usually translated “constellations.” This is thought by many to be a reference to the twelve constellations of the zodiac.
The constellations have been tracked and studied for millennia. The Egyptians and Greeks knew of the zodiac and used it to measure the beginning of spring centuries before Christ. Much has been written of the meaning of the zodiacal constellations, including theories that they comprise an ancient display of God’s redemptive plan. For example, the constellation Leo can be seen as a celestial depiction of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5), and Virgo could be a reminder of the virgin who bore Christ. However, the Bible does not indicate any “hidden meaning” for these or other constellations. 1
The Bible also references lunar eclipses (blood moons) and solar eclipses (darkened sun) as a sign accompanying the return of the Lord. (Joel 2:31, Acts 2:20, Revelation 6:12)
The 2014-15 Blood Moon Tetrad
In 2008, Pastor Mark Biltz made an incredible discovery. When compared against the Hebrew calendar, in a specific ceros cycle (lunar trajectories), a phenomenon of four blood moons (also known as a tetrad) would coincide directly on Feast Days defined in the Bible. When he researched this specific ceros cycle, he found that it did not occur in a regular pattern but showed up on a specific pattern. This certain ceros cycle produced blood moon tetrads directly on Biblical Feast days only at key times in history where a significant occurrence happened to the Jewish people:
32-33 AD Death of Messiah
70 AD Destruction of the Temple
1493-94 Jews Evicted from Spain
1949-50 Rebirth of Israel
1967-68 Six Day War
And now …2014-15
Ever since 2008, there has been much speculation and anticipation of what the 2014-15 blood moon phenomenon would signify.
Wasn’t the 2014-15 Blood Moon Tetrad supposed to be a sign when the Lord would return?
Some people tried to correlate the Blood Moon Tetrad to the return of the Lord by looking at Joel 2:31.

Read a response from Pastor Mark Biltz criticizing claims that the blood moons correlates to the End of the World
The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. Joel 2:31 NKJV
The Bible is very clear that no one knows the day or hour the Lord will return so it is folly to try to pin a date on the event. (Mathew 24:50, 25:13, Mark 6:35, 13:32, Luke 12:46) Rather the Bible admonishes us to always be alert and ready for the Lords return, to watch and pray. (Mark 13:32-37)

Blood Moon Update From Pastor Mark Biltz
2014 may be a Prophetic Year for Israel and the World
The 2014-15 Blood Moon Tetrad…so what happened?
So when we look at the blood moon phenomenon, as Pastor Mark Biltz discovered, we find that the context of the sign has to do with a significant event or events that would surround the nation of Israel. Does the events surrounding Israel in 2014-15 fit as a major year worthy of a warning sign from God?
Let’s look: On April 15th, 2014 The 1st Blood moon of the tetrad appeared on the Jewish Passover heralding in twelve months of what we now know contained the Israel Gaza war. Over 4500 rockets were launched by Hamas into Israel during 2014. In response to defending herself , Israel took increasing criticism from the nations around the world including the White house administration in the United States. Notably on 8/5/15, CNN reported that Gaza conflict had brought the U.S.-Israel relationship to a new low. It is also notable that 8/5/14 is 9 AV in the Jewish calendar, a historical time of trouble for the Jewish people. And trouble indeed it has had. While surrounded by Islamic nations who want to destroy Israel, the United Nations and its staunchest ally, the United States has turned away from and in some political circles even against Israel. Within the tetrad year, the United States brokered a nukes arm deal with Islamic militant Iran who is a sworn enemy of Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, defending his nation made his case deafening clear in the days leading up to the final Blood Moon Tetrad when he chastised the UN assembly for there lack of interest to the danger to Israel and stared in silence for 45 seconds at the UN body.
So was it a significant tetrad? Yes! It was a year where Israel experienced international hatred and isolation at a level never before experienced since its formation in 1948. And according to scripture it is going to get worse…
Not only did the tetrad accurately confirm a significant time for Israel, its conclusion on September 28th, 2015 may have started the clock on one of the major end time prophecies. It is an end time prophecy that has been watched closely ever since the time that the children of Israel were gathered back together as a nation. A time when a people from the north (Russia) will join with the rulers that are current day Syria and Iran and come down against Israel…
Has the Prophecy of Ezekiel 38 and 39 just begun?
On the very day that the prophetic four blood moon tetrad concluded, a day when in the predawn hours over Jerusalem a super moon lunar eclipse was seen in the land, Russian President Putin gave an address to the United Nations. Did his speech start the prophetic clock that was foretold by Ezekiel over 2600 years ago? Has Russia started down a path that will in our time bring the country and its allies to eventual war with Israel and ultimately to the country’s prophetic destiny… into a final confrontation with God Almighty? We will soon find out.
